I can promise you it would be the fastest Minardi has ever gone.

How about Prost, Senna in the late 80's McLaren vs. Michael in the 02 Ferrari, vs Mansell in the Williams.

Worst mistake JV ever made was getting out of that Williams... Frank will NOT be underspent.. He's the most competitive old foogy I know that can't even walk on his own two legs.. I'd hate to be on that mans bad side...

My money's on the 360* brake shoe/caliper idea... They're bringing in fresh air(the inner air duct), so it's not a brake "heater", and C/F brakes don't need extreme cooling(they operate best at 1200+ degrees)..

hmm...I'd love to find out what they're cooking up...

And about Senna vs Manselle vs Schumi... Not a fair comparison, you know that Schumi would walk all over every single one of them, and "not" because of driver skill. The pace that these cars are pushing is alot faster then what the other generations cars were running. Look at the list of new lap records from last year, I bet almost every tracks lap record was broken last year, and it will be broken again this year...

And think how fast these guys would be without the FIA constantly trying(in vain) to slow them down!

I would have to say that Senna was by far the fastest or better said the quickest of the three and coolest under the gun. It takes ***** of steel to drive into someone at 140 mph thereby winning a WC and paying Prost back from his slow speed driveby that he did to Senna.
Prost the easiest on equipment.
Mansell the one who could get something from almost nothing.
And Schumi the best at set-up. He doesn't usually waste time trying different set-ups chasing his tail. His real fortay looks to be motivation of the people around him.
Ahh the good ole days...................

I have to go with Schumi all the way

on this one.. the one thing I hear is that he has always had the best equipment. But part of that is his own doing. He brings those folks with him.
But no one can beat his percentages.. just look at his winning, podium and races finished percentages. Schumi has done this with more and better competition as well. I dont agree that Senna was the coolest under the gun. Schumi looks them all down and just absolutely dominates them by just being there. The only other athletes able to do this have been Jordan and Tiger.

But this type of chatter is what makes F1 fun.. wouldnt it have been fun to have JV as Schumi's mate.. would never happen but it would have been fun..
Although, I am getting more impressed by Kimi.. and just think he was racing go karts just a few years ago... incredible talent..

Well if I remember right Schumi had *****, ran into JV in the last round('97 I believe) and FIA fubar'd him and kicked him out of the championship

Alot of riff raff about this driver is better than this driver blah blah blah...

Look at nastycar(I mean NASCAR)....Petty won what like 200 races, and wow he's the best...also took him 5 decades to do it

Ok bad example.. People that Hakkenin was as good as Schumi, and everytime I heard that I just laughed..

BUT!! One of the coolest things I ever saw on Speedvision(Motorsport Mundial) was a Go-kart race between all the F1 drivers.. Equal equipment, same track, just all skill, and Schumi won, but Hakkenin was close behind.. That was some of the best racing I've ever seen.

If you just look at Kart racing, then Tarquini (raced for AGS - no really there was a team AGS---hahahaha) or someone who never ran and never will - age - Paccini would beat them all.

I agree that you could banter on all day about this driver and that driver. Who's to say Bernd Rosemeyer ('30's merc) was not the best ever?

Alot of it depends on the team that is built around you, and in that respect Schumi is very hard to beat.
