Anyone seen any '04's yet?

I took a road trip from KC to Des Moines and back this past wkend and along the way and back i saw 3 04's , one happened to be pulled over onto the side of I-35 North with his flashers on. It was a regular cab and it was white. One was in downtown Des Moines it was tan and the other one passed me in downtown KC. I like these trucks, but i like the 97-02's designs alot more. Seen any 04's yet???

I think I saw some posts a while back in the 2004 F-150 forum in which people had spotted them. You may check in there.

Are these just test vehicles or what? Because I have heard that they were not even in production yet.

Haven't seen one in person yet but, I'm still on the fence on what I think about them...

Definately different looking...just can't make up my mind. I'm going to have to reserve judgement until I can see one in person.

I don't know for sure but they may have been the ones from Thompson Manitoba on their way home. They did cold weather testing there during the winter and stopped in Winnipeg about a week ago on their way south.
They had a display set up for a day with the seven trucks, all with a different setup, 6 cyl, 8 cyl, superCrew, supercab, regular cab etc. Unlike the auto shows they let people sit in them and look them over. They said this was the first time the public was able to sit in them. I didn't get to see them but there was a write up in the paper about it.

I crawled all over one about a month ago here at the 'grand re-opening' of a local dealership. Ford execs were there as well. It was a red reg. cab STX (I believe)...had those little doors to allow access to behind the seat. The dash looks good in real life, but I thought the front end was a bit heavy-handed. All in all it was a nice truck, but looked more 'truck like' than the 97-03 models. I would describe it as a Super Duty 'Lite'. I did notice that the rear shocks were 'outboard'...kinda in the wheel-wells. I don't know why.

Fast Gator:

I'm really interested in this III generation truck but the pricing
may remove many customers from the market...including life long
Ford rod enthusiasts...if it's over 40 k I'm out of the picture...
how about you ?
