Ok, I raced one last night. I had no clue they even made these. Well, considering I have a stock truck I didn't do that bad. Sure I lost. But, I gave him a damn good run for a truck. I had him up to about 45 and then he barely pulled away when he shifted into 3rd and I let off. Oh, I've got an 02 supercab 5.4.

I looked online and these things run 14.7 in the 1/4.

25,xxx I believe. Actually, the one that runs a 14.7 in the 1/4 is the Contour SVT Puff, which I believe has nos. Don't know which one this one was, but it did look like the puff.

 

I owned a 99 SVT contour. Sweet car. Handled EXACTLY like my buddys Beemer M3. Very tight handling, & some good get-up-n-go as well. It also has a sweet short throw shifter, easy to tear through the gears. But, I only had it 6 months & I traded it in for a 99 Cobra. I test drove it & it made the contours power look sick. The Contour was still great though, considering it was only packing 205 HP.

 

I traded one in for my SCrew.
It was a great car. But 100lb German Shepard didn't like the leather seats that much.
I had some extra work in it. Suspension, and exhaust.
Handled like a slot car.

 

As was said, they handle great for a 4 dr sled

I always wanted one, I just could never find one for a good price. Either it was bad condition and cheap, or reasonably good condition and friggin expensive! I don't get it, they great cars, but don't hold their value to much, what are these people thinking

 

Cool little cars indeed. I ran one on the Beltway several years back several times until he got tired of the smack downs I was handing out.
