Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf appeared in Paris today and gave a press conference in which he stated “The war against the infidels is going splendidly”
The Minister, known to wags as “Baghdad Bob” assured the adoring French press that the “criminal Americans are dying in great numbers, in fact, the war is mostly mopping up operations in the Kuwaiti province now, hardly any of the lying goat sweats are left alive. The war being mostly over, I thought it was a good time to take a little vacation here in France, where I love the people and the dog **** on the sidewalks so much, I think of it like a second home” The Minister answered questions about the war, and stated he was looking forward to going to the bath houses with President Jacques Chirac and Foreign Minster Dominique de Villepin. “ I come to France to relax, explore, and to get in touch with my inner self, and of course for the hospitality the French are known for” al-Sahhaf further explained that he was interested in the culture, and was glad to see “another country where surrender is taken quite seriously, the French , you see, surrender faster and better than almost anyone else, they would give up to the drill team from an all girls school if pressed, anyone with a flag.” He said he had no idea when he would be returning to Baghdad, but it would be “soon after the stench of the Americans, who were never close to the city, is gone” US General Tommy Franks later in the day offered to pay his airfare when he chooses to return.
