Anyone have it? I was thinking of going and picking it up this afternoon out of sheer boredom and try HALO 2 out on it. Anyone anyone?

 

I don't have it - but know at least a few members do. You might want to look at www.xbconnect.com for a FREE alternative to XBox live. I haven't really checked it out yet - but have talked to some people who say it is pretty cool.

 

Im going now to pick it up. My wife left me here for a month alone and Im bored stiff so Im going to go blow money and see if its worth it or not!

I thought it was already released. Ah well such is life. Ive got XBOX Live but no game to play on it. Ive got the original Halo but I guess its not supported. What a crapper.

 

If you have a Toys R Us nearby, they have one of the Live-enabled football games on sale for $9.99 right now. I don't recall if it is NFL 2K3 or NCAA College Football 2K3. I can't speak to the quality of either game though - I got NFL Fever 2003 instead.

And I caught the Halo 2 reference too - just figured it was either a typo or a demo since they keep moving the release date back.

 

Hi,I have xbox live.I have unreal tournament and mechassault,both online games.Other online enabled games are Ghost Recon,nflfever 2003,nhl 2003,capcom vs snk.There are a few others.I think another member here,Clonetek has xbox live to.Also Phantasy Star online just came out too,but after 2 months you have to pay a monthly charge.I had that for dreamcast and it was pretty cool.Whats your gamertag? Mine is Drown.maybe We can play a game some night.


And by the way,the xbox live disc has two online enabled demo's,whacked and motogp.You should be able to try those.

 

Yeah I went and got Mech Assault and Ghost Recon. Been pretty cool thus far Im pretty impressed with how well it works really. My Gamertag is Swofford. Originality at its best.

 

They just recently set the 'official' release date of April 04 for Halo 2

 

april 4 2004? damn i thought they had said jan 2004!

 

Orignally they said 'Holidays 03' was a target date. In the last issue of Xbox magazine they had an article about Halo 2 and said the officieal release date was 'Spring 04'. later in the article it said April 1, 2004.
