The only time I really like listening to that stuff is when I need to get my adrenaline going. Or when I really want to pi$$ someone off I turn it up real loud in the truck.

Disturbed The most eloquently written lyrics and really make sense if you pay attention to them

NaviGirl.... No I haven't heard of them. I love going to a restaurant called the Southern Skillet back home in Roswell, GA. They have bluegrass almost every Friday night. Have they been there before? Or The Swallow at the Hollow? They have bands and song writers from the Bluebird Cafe perform there. It's across the street from the Skillet.

I mostly listen to Audio Slave, Crash Palace, and Staind. As far as Bluegrass, I listen to Ricky Skaggs and Bill Monroe sometimes.

I think one of the reasons is because people aren't always sure what catagory a band is in these days. There are so many catagories!

I would have to go and look at my collection to name more. I do have Sevendust in there. I liked Stained when they were a local band and we could see them at the clubs around here. They did all the cool covers and there originals were original.

I guess the one thing that we can tell from this thread is rock/metal s alive and kicking @ss!

..clutch, system of a down, soulfly, pro-pain, snot, life of agony,

that first slipnot cd really rips also.

got a 5 year old who digs soulfly, system of a down, steve earle, and he's really into the white stripes.

we drive together in the truck often, and a few times when system of a down came on the radio, he actually asked me to turn it up cause he liked the song.

hey, whatever it takes to keep him away from all that made-for-mtv eye-candy is good in my book..
