When I was a Marine in Viet Nam somebody told me about "hippies"--I had never heard of them--but found out awful quick what with their anti-military crap. They didn't realize that we were just trying to stop red communism not conquer the Viet namese people. After thirteen months, I got back to "the world" (the U.S. for you non-vets) I was ready to punch it out when I got off the plane----but we landed late at night when all the jerkos were home in a drugged haze, so about twenty of Marines and a few green berets went to the airport lounge and had a quiet (believe it or not ) beer.
It's the same way today---uninformed jerkos blowing off about something they know nothing about. By the way, I haven't EVER met anyone who will admit to being a "flower child".
