waranty question

My truck was in a windstorm this morning and it just about took my door off the truck. I am just wondering if this is in any way under my warrenty or if they will pay for a rental while it is in the body shop?

Sucks about your door
Try your insurance company for coverage. Good luck

Did it do body damage to the door or just "spring" it? My wife backed up her Explorer with the driver's door open and dang near ripped it off on a basket ball goal. It did no body damage but the door would not close. We took it to the local Ford Dealer and he had what he called a "door tool." They took it around to the body shop and in 5 minutes, had it fixed, no charge.

Good Luck

well I wound up taking it to the body shop since the Ford Dealer here dosnt have a body shop. I was sitting in the waiting room he went out came back and said "the door will close now" Well I went out there and it looked worse than when I went in. So now a Sprung door is going to cost me 1300 since now the fender has to be replaced. Lets just say I am extreamly pissed off right now but thanks for the reply

So why would you think that the factory warranty should fix storm damage?

now that I have calmed down from it all I realize how stupid the question was. Well the truck goes in the shop next week for a couple of days so hopefully the paint will match

Now you have a better understanding of why the Wright Brothers went down there.
