I didn't get the impression that Bill Murray was advocating socialism. I think he was implying that we should begin to look at the world in shades of "gray" rather than always "black and white". Let's not shoot all the cowboys that don't wear white hats.

In response to author Bryson: I enjoy his writings, but I'm not sure his writing has a large dose of factual merit. I perceive more entertainment value than intrinsic value.

Of course, I could be wrong on both counts above...... (there's that darn gray area again, or is that grey....?

I would never shoot a cowboy. Cowboys don’t live in a Social country. Social countries then to be touch and feely, like liberals…

I think one of the reasons that Americans do not travel much is because the average everyday American probably cannot afford to do so. This country is made of many middle class families that have to work many hours every week just to stay ahead. With many people just missing a day or two of work will put them farther behind. And like someone else said, we usually have the lowest amount of vacation time available to us.

There are several countries that I would love to go and see, but right now it is not possible. I am hoping that eventually I will be able to go to those places. I am not going to say it is right or wrong for people to go travel abroad. Many people simply just do not want to travel and others want to, but financially can't.

I have not been fortunate to be able to travel much yet. I live in Florida and have never been farther west than Texas or farther north that Atlanta. That does not mean that I don't want to travel elsewhere, it is just that so far I have not been able to go to those other places.
