Well, my weekend plans have been slightly screwed! I had ordered the Rancho RS 5000's for my Screw not realizing that they are not gas pressurized shocks. They advertise them as Cellular Gass Cell Shock Absorbers. When I got them out of the box to install them (after removing the factory shocks) I realized that they are not gas shocks at all. I went on Rancho's website and, sure enough, no gas, just old fashioned oil shocks.

Well, now I have reinstalled the factory shocks and have called Jeg's who graciously agreed not only to accept the return but pay for the return freight. I ordered a set of Rancho RSX's which apparantly are similar to the RS 5000's but gas pressurized. So, the rest of today's plans now must be put off untill next weekend. I tried to buy the RSX's locally just so I could finish up today and was willing to pay a little more to do so but the only place that had them wanted $97.00 each. Jeg's wants $50.00 each. Guess I'm going with Jeg's.

Oh well, I did get my brakes and windshield wipers installed, guess I'll just wait till next weekend to do the rest.

So how would you feel if you installed a pair of $300 Drag shocks and found one is leaking after a week

 

gator.. i've heard from the f-body guys that the HAL QA1's leak a lot..

 

That's why I never make any plans. 50% of the time, they never work out...

 

I always plan to plan again... and maybe again.
