12 Marines & 4 Brittish are dead

The 1st deaths have just happened in Kuwait. A Sea Hawk helicopter went down killing all aboard. There's no reason being given yet - it may have been weather related or mechanical failure. Or not.
May God have mercy on their souls & give their families some peace. Hopefully there won't be many more to follow.
Semper Fi to all these brave men.

12 British and 4 Americans to be exact. To make things worse it sounds like as of 2:35 a.m. Friday, that is was not shot down. So like Cowlady said mechanical failure or something other. Hate to hear something like that happen.

"Edit" Thank you EnglishAdam for the update. Very thankfull that the fatalities have been reduced in that accident. God bless the U.S., Britian and it other allies in this war!

Unhappy

Just watched a statement from Lt.Col Ben Curry from 3rd Commando of the Royal Marines who said that the cause of the accident was mechanical failure.
The casualty list was 8 Royal Marines and 4 US aircrew.

I hope that the appeasers and naysayers of this war appreciate the fact that there are kids out there dying for them so that they can sleep safely at night.

Rest In Peace, men.

PER MARE PER TERRAM

(Motto of the Royal Marines - it means BY LAND - BY SEA )

A little better news: Just heard there were fewer people on board than originally thought. 4 Americans and 8 Brits. Semper Fi to the Marines and British SAS troops.
