As it turned out, my BF didn't have the right equipment to do the rear, so he had to buy a special tool. Then when he got started, he got confused, and I had to call my EX over to help. My ex had never done it before, but had watched it being done, so he knew what to do. It took longer than expected, as it began to get too wet, and they had to stop for awhile. The two of them finally finished, but they had gotten real greasy, and had to scubb up with more orange clean.
I took them out to dinner after, and my BF had fish, and my Ex had steak.
Total cost for rear brake job done in my driveway in the rain: $40 including a new caliper plus $30 for dinner at the local coney, because that was only place we could go dressed as we were.
