Talking Did the French teach them this?

Just watching the news here in Britain.
I see that 17 Iraqi's just surrendered to troops inside the Kuwait DMZ before the game has kicked off.

Now we all know that the Frenchies have been helping their military in the past but this is too much.

Actually, all jokes aside, I hope that the rest do the same and save themselves a good twatting.
No fun to be had in a Turkey shoot like the Basra road last time.

I think the French should lead all our military forces into Iraq. They could show the Iraqis the proper way to surrender.

Check ebay for French weapons. Captions always read
"Never fired, dropped once."

That would be a mess ... Then we would have French soldiers surrendering to Iraq at the same time Iraqi soldiers surrender to the US and Brit's. Too confusing.

I have to disagree guys.

Anyone whom wants to surrender should be given the chance to do so and be treated humanely.

This war is not against the people of Iraq, it is against Saddam and his evil regime.
The majority of the Iraqi army are poorly trained peasant conscripts. They are manning the lines because they are told to do so under pain of death. They will be shot from behind by their own side if they refused or try to retreat.
Where's the fun or sport in killing a 20 yr old goat herder with a daisy cutter?

Now, as for the Republican Guards and people loyal to Saddam, great, bombs away. If someone chooses to confront you that is a very differnt story and they will deserve all they get.

While what your saying is true and I agree..........BUT.............
Since this "war" is costing the US tax-payers approx 1 Billion dollars a day, I want my money's worth! Not a few cruisemissiles, but major carpet bombing by the B-2 Bombers, where the AA Fire is shooting wildly in the sky. I want to see massive exploding fireballs caused by the new daisy cutter bomb. I want to see the good Iraq people rise and overthrow the butcher in charge. And I want to see it live on CNN!

The news reports that Saddam has 46 doubles, I want them all dead. Agree or dis-agree, but thats what I want

Talking

I see your point Gator.
Trouble is, that's not modern warfare.
There's no way that the military will go in and bomb Bahgdad because it would cause unacceptable civilian casualties.
I'm afraid that if you want to see a firework show, you will have to go to Disneyworld.
(BTW, don't go to EuroDisney, too much chaos with the French surrendering when the rockets go up )

I would however like to see his "professional" troops putting up some resistance this time and the Spectre gunships giving to them big time.

Well said Adam,

My sentiments exactly.
I believe the US is doing everything in their power to minimize civilian life, and this is commendable.
Now they need to huck them fard and wrap this up as quickly as possible.

EnglishAdam, sorry for the confusion, I certainly did not mean that I wanted to see innocent lives taken by the MOAB. Military targets are what I want to see blown up, the s.o.b.s shooting at the planes are what should get those!
