We Made It!
We Made It!
For those of you who were paying attention... I moved from Maryland to Ohio. I rented a 15' Penske truck and towed a car trailer with my 73 Mustang on it. Made the trip in about 8 1/2 hours. I loaded up my five birds (in their cages), a cat (angry one at that) and my two dogs and headed out Saturday morning. Driving wasn't too bad... as long as I didn't have to back up! Had no problems at all... and now I'm here in lovely Loveland Ohio.
And only 30 seconds from Gold Star Chili...
Anywhooo... one of my husband's new friends is taking us to a casino this weekend... I can't wait to drive around and get familiar with the area.
I can't remember who it was that posted about moving 6 times in 9 years, but yep.. you were right. I have about 10 "last minute" boxes filled with crap from every room in the house. I still can't find my toothbrush. (Don't worry, I'm using a spare one that I found). I have a long road ahead of me unpacking, but I have time... I don't have a job yet.

Hey, you have a 73?? I just bought mine, a 73 mach 1. It is like driving a big blind spot...I love it. Where do you get most of your parts through, I have only had this thing about a week and still finding websites and magazines but nothing great yet. It seems like most stuff is for new mustangs or 69 pre cars. Not too much for the seventies. Mostly what I an looking for is interior trim panels and a little sheet metel. Good to see others out there.
Glad to hear you made it safey. But you know, the trip would have been easier if you had followed Raoul's directions
Don't worry about the unpacking part.........I've been in my house 1 year now and there are still unpacked boxes in the basement.
I found sometimes it's just as easy or easier to go buy what your looking for

Ford4Fun - I haven't really bought anything for the Mustang yet. I was going to start working on it, but then learned that we were moving, so I didn't start. Then I tried to sell it so I didn't have to tow it out here to Ohio. That didn't work either... so here I am in Ohio with my Stang. Actually, I'm glad that I brought it with me, so I can start working on it in the spring.
DetroitFord - We're actually going into Indiana (I think) to a couple casinos. I think there are Riverboat casinos around here too (Ohio River).
Fast Gator - After speaking with my mom a couple days ago, and complaining about unpacking, she said "honey, we've been in this house for 30 years and we still have boxes in the attic we never unpacked." Hmmm, I guess that's where my Easy Bake oven ended up. lol
Sigh... back to unpacking...
