daaaaamn...that guy is off his block. I hate ricers with a passion, but I wouldnt go as far as to try to kill people. Its probably all BS anyhow, which is the very thing he is saying he hates...

 

he has points but that doesnt excuse what he says hes doing (though i truly doubt it). I dont know about you guys but the "import race scene" out in LA is soo stupid sometimes. I mean ive seen tons of really nice imports that run great times (7 second quarter anyone?) but its to the point where there are just so many posers who talk all this smack about yeah my car can do this and that but in the end, youve got a 16 second civic.

My buddy worked at a big electronic store and he had a pure stock mustang with the 5.0 in it. There was like 13 guys in a "import race club" or whatever and not a single one could even offer much competition. Its silly, but hey whatever they wanna do i guess.

 

and he is different from the people he's flaming how? Sounds like someone got their *** handed to them by an import and he needs to vent

 

What a jerk...I hope HE gets run off the road some day. It's bad enough worrying about cops, other cars, whatever when you are racing on the street. But to worry about the jerk next to you ready to run you off the road because of what you drive?! That's hor*****. Just my opinion.

I have owned a few and worked on a few foreign cars.

I do not like the WANA BE fast imports that have the junk bolt on crap and think they are fast, those are ricers.

But to the built cars I give alot of respect.... They are in a class of their own, and some are WAY faster than most of us.

Just be careful what you think you can handle. There is alot of SLEEPER imports that dont have the RICE look, but can run 11's easy....

 

definately give respect to the well done ones, i love the awd ones that smoke their share of cars and im always impressed. but the bolt on ricers are insanly abundant here so i understand his hate (im guessing its similar where hes at). I dont think its right, or that what he claims to do is good, its freaking retarded. But i could go outside my office onto the street and just stand there, and in 5 minutes ill see at least 20 crx's civics' or eclispe's that all have that big muffler with the lawnmower sound attached to it or that funny wing that looks like its made out of sheet metal (oh ive seen em on mustangs now too). And these guys rev at every light, alot of em strip their interiors to bare metal to "lighten the load". I dont know it just seems so ridiculous. Oh and they talk so much smack. ARGH!

 

Yea trying to run people off the road while racing is nuts That guy is just whack. Some of the stuff he said was true about the fads and stuff with ricers but the rest is just crazy. Just my opion.

 

I know how the story goes, most of the imports are built in America....or something...But as Americans we do really need to start looking out for ourselves. I don't excuse any of the crap this guy was saying, I think he's a maniac or just a lying maniac. We just need to watch our backs and take our old pickem up trucks to the track and show 'em who's boss.

 

I think the word "ricer" gets confused with "poser", as I have friends who are into the imports, but they have 700 hp Supras, and RX-7s, and they can't stand the guys with the Type R badges, and fake "Nawwws" buttons anymore than I can.

 

yeah the true racers that really do their homework hate the posers just as much. But the two words have kinda blended into one out here. I love fast cars period. So its always nice to ride in a car thats well built to go fast. My buddies always give me the wierd look when i say "so how much does this puppy tow?"
