Angry Reality TV sucks!!!

I am probably one of the very few people in this country that still doesn't have cable/satellite TV. I only have five stations to choose from. NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and PBS. It's Monday night and there is pretty much crap on this night. CBS sucks all the time so that's not an option. I usually watch PBS while I'm making supper and sit down and eat while Third watch is on. No, not tonight. There is a two hour Fear Factor on NBC. ABC has that stupid I'm a dumb a$$ celeberty, get me out of here. Fox has the call in the vote to marry these two idiots. The two PBS stations I get both are doing pledge week. Nope, I couldn't even watch Nova or Scientific American Fronteirs on PBS.

What is the deal with all these reality shows. Do you folks like them. I'd guess that there must be a lot of people watching if they keep coming out with new ones. I don't like these shows. They seem to drag on forever. I like to watch a little TV but I don't want to feel like I've spent a large portion of my life watching a bunch of camera hogs do stupid stuff. I like that shows like Third watch and my other favorite Law and Order (just the regular one) pass the time quickly.

Sorry to b!tch here. I can't wait for the warm weather. I can get back to tending to the yard and tinkering with the truck.

I'm right there with ya on the reality crap. I only have basic cable so that just means I get good clean reception on crappy programs... Can't wait for the warm weather either...

Wittom I am right with ya. I had the EXACT same experience tonight as you did. We have the exact same tastes in TV and I dont have cable or satellite either. It is really pissin me off and I think that it is only going to get worse. There are supposed to be even more reality shows coming out this summer.

Anybody who finds this crap even remotely entertaining has got to be smoking crack. I too cant wait for spring to get here so I can do yard work and tinker with my truck. Winter here has really sucked...NO decent snow all season for riding sleds, plus it has been cold enough to freeze the ***** off a brass monkey.

One of these nights I might go ballistic on the TV like my Uncle did when he was young. Apparently he absolutely hated Rocky and Bullwinkle so he got his BB gun and shot the TV!

Don't even have cable here, don't miss it. I have a large dvd collection, the internet and about a billion songs, I listen to a lot of music instead. I am always doing something (working on something), so I don't have time to pay attention to tv that much anyway.

I am with pickup man. I never have time or desire to watch TV. I'd much rather work, or play on the net. I have even stopped wathcing the news. Of all of the recent reality TV, I've seen fear factor, once, I just wasn't entertained by someone eating a buffalo nut. I will stop in my tracks to watch the Bucs though.

I know several people that are addicted to these new shows. They won't even tape them cause they don't want to be the last to know. Scik! Thank God for football and the internet.

This is first year that I have ever had cable and I have to say it is not all that it is cracked up to be. They play the same friggin moves day in and day out, so unless there is some college bball or pro football on I end up watching the main channels (abc, cbs, nbc) anyways.

I like to watch survivor but that is about it. I could do without all the other crap. Thursday night is our big TV night; survivor, CSI Vegas, and ER!!

got free cable, but dont watch a lot. I'll turn on MTV or CNN or FOX and turn it down and just kinda listen. During summers and nice day's, the tv is only used for the 10:00 news.

Personally I like reality shows, real reality shows like Discovery, History, The Learning channel those kind of “real” reality shows.

I think this crap they “call” reality shows is a gimmick. Does anyone really believe they would act and behave the way they do if there were “no” camera’s around.

I really thought about watching that one “real” reality show called I think “Gold diggers after money”, oh wait no I believe it was the one with a bunch of babes “thinking” the guy was a millionaire. I didn’t with the exception of the last episode. They talked about it on the morning radio station I listen to going to work. Sounded pretty good because that was the night the “gold digger” was going to find out she actually got a “bugger digger” instead.

I have to say I thought to myself while watching it “Now, this is reality TV” women in their natural environment. It furthermore proved to me, as far as some women go, that it’s not about love or looks, it ALL about the money honey.

That’s the only one I ever watched, and only the last soap episode.

Haven't heard one for that, but you know that would be a hell of a show, especially if there were some good "everything must go" sales...

Actually the one I seen was the one with some guy who was a construction worker but they told all the babes he was a millionare... dooh...

I only watched about 2 eppisodes of the first survivor show because a girl from Clarksville was on. I heard about one comming up that I might watch. They are going to find 6 80 year old billionares and move them in with Anna Nichole Smith. The only thing holding up the plan is that they can't figure out what to do after the first commercial break since she will already have all the money
