Ford ESP Rental Question
Ford ESP Rental Question
I have the ExtraCare Ford ESP bought when the truck was new (4/1998). I have always been able to get a rent car if the dealer had to keep my truck overnight. Today, I dropped the truck off and was told the Ford ESP does not pay for the first day of rental coverage. This same dealer has never given me any problems in the past.
Did the Ford ESP change in that it no longer pays for the first day? If so, shouldn't they still honor my original policy?
Has this dealer just been nice to me in the past and picked up the first day?

It seems as the dealer was being nice . You do get first day rental with the Premium Care ESP . I believe you can first day rental with ExtraCare but it would cost a little more.
I hope this answers your question.

I have the Premium Care ESP like canyonslicker and it does pay car rental for the first day and up to five days at $28 a day. I don't know what's in your plan but it would seem if you have car rental it would be from the first day.
I would go back and read your policy and see what is stated in that policy. Once they sale the policy to you they have to follow it what "you" have in writting, because that is what "you" agreed to.
Look in the policy and see if there are any claues that state (they can change the outline of the policy when they want), if that is the case they can do so and, if I am correct, try to contact you by mail at the last address they had on record. In other words if you have moved then it is kind of your bust since they do not have to try and track you down.
Just look at your policy and read it real good and see what it says, then just go in and be friendly with the dealer and see what happens. Good luck
