in to work at 5 AM. got the crew together and we deiced 86 buildings on a 1032 unit apartment complex...scrapped the sidewalks and stairs and applied deicer...didnt finish till 3 O'Clock this afternoon, without a break(I'm a slave driver) no really if you stop and try to get going again in the cold it's that much harder so you just go till you finish
Sounds as bad as me and my cousin carrying 12x6 sheets of drywall the other day. I helped him because he's building a new house. There were 60 sheets and they were 100 lbs per sheet. We had to carry that ***** up a slippery mud covered sheet of reinforced plywood that I almost busted my a$$ on 5 times, because the steps had'nt been built yet in front of the door. Then we had to carry 30 sheets up a set of 15 steps that was steeper than a cow's face. And the other 30 went into the living room on the other side of the house I might add. I was breathing so hard, I sounded like a blue tick hound on the 4th of July! That brother, will wear you out quick. That is if your out of shape like me.
But a little work never hurt nobody.

I heard Texas got wacked today with the ice. Its kinda funny, because growing up in Fla, whenever an ice storm hit, Which where far and few between, it was mass panic. Not to say, in Jersey there's smooth sailing. But some salt spread out before hand makes everything so much easier to deal with.
I know it don't make you feel any better, but the weather your having today, is suppose to hit us thursday night, with an unknown amount of snow. It just depends on which way the storm tracks......they predict anywhere between 3 and 12 inches. And last week, we got hammered with 2', and just now its starting to melt. This winter sucks

It takes more than one to carry it because it'll snap right in half if you don't have two people carrying it. And the reason I'm b*tching is because I weigh 285 lbs and I'm sorta out of shape.
hehe. And if you saw the flight of stairs we had to carry them sum' b*tches up, you'd be b*tching too.

I am a veterinarian (duh). And two images come to mind.
1. Large Animal Doctor with coveralls and boots.
2. Small Animal Doctor with tie and white coat, kaki pants, and loafers.
I am the latter type. But with exception.
I gave up on the tie and white coat ect. because I am constantly ruining the nice stuff. I just wear bluejeans and cowboy boots with a scrub top shirt. I have concluded that being a veterinarian is a "Blue Collar" job.
No flames please.
I don't work as physically hard as some of you guys. However - I do spend a a lot of time getting pee'd on and such - or on the floor laying on a big dog while the "help" gives the shot because I am bigger.
I have strayed from my point some. My exhaustion comes from the long day and long week. I own the hospital so I spend just as much time dealing with the clogged drains or leaking roof ( for example ) as I do just being the "Doctor". Then when I get home I do the bookkeeping and payroll and such.
But hey! I bring it on myself because I am too cheap to pay someone to do things that I can do myself.
