If you are not in favor of war or not ...

If you are not in favor of kicking Saddam's a$$ or not ... this is not right.

"We're confused," says Marine Private First Class Patrick ***, 21, an LAV driver from Broken Bow, Neb. "Are the protesters going to spit on us when we go home?"

Full story here: http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101030303/wtroops.html

It makes me sad/mad ... In so many ways our country is its' own worst enemy. Who needs a Tokyo Rose when you have (I will use the term loosely) entertainers supporting a tyrant dictator more than they support the US troops? I thought some of these entertainers where leaving the country when Bush was elected anyway? I notice they did not go anywhwere.

God Bless the USA ... To the troups ... remember that we have your back ... I am sure most of the US posters on this site will take care of any spitters.

The last man I saw that spit on my fellow patriot is still using a straw to eat.

The next one to do it will be spitting on my family. I don't think I will be as kind the next time.

God forbid, this should happen

"We're building them up to the point where they are emotionally ready to kill," says Marine Lieut. Colonel Bryan P. McCoy. Let a 19-year-old sit around for too long, commanders say, and he will start to think about what killing means. Military leaders want to avoid that, calculating that it would be as debilitating as the temperature that creeps up with each passing day.

I liken all this to boosters running out onto the field during an NCAA football game and demanding that plays be changed. Point being that there is a time for selectivity and offering your opinion (hiring a coach, selecting players), and then there is a time in which you must step back and let the system you put in place operate. During a game, there is no room for outsiders or the players themselves altering the play calling. This is the game, and this is how we play, it and now we have to play it to its fruition. You can imagine how no game would ever be one if everyone was in charge.

In the same respect, we elected the President (and yes it was legal, he didn't hijack the election as some liberals claim), and we elected Congress. We are not a nation whose public controls every decision at every second, we are a Republic. Even if I did not agree with the war (which I do agree with it), I would support the decisions made to go to war, because we are in the middle of the game at this point. If I did disagree, I would carry my disagreement to the next election period and let it be shown there.

There were many conflicts I'm sure every Tom, ****, and Harry weren't all jazzed up to go into. Not every war is as clear cut as WWII with a whole country sneak attacking you while at rest. I'm sure people didn't feel like fighting in the Civil War or World War I, but the point is they played the game as they were supposed to, and hindsight being 20/20, the whole world is a better place now.

When the time comes, and you pull the trigger, or drop the mortar in the tube for the first time, the wait seems indifferent.
Self preservation takes over and you have instant recall on everything you were taught.
The wait is soon forgotten.
Been there, done that..

These Hollywierd pukes are doing a great job of sidetracking what Saddam has done over the years. He has murdered hundreds of thousands of his own people just because they have spoken against him.

What about the wars he has started?? Iran/Iraq Invasion of Kuwait etc. It is laughable that these pukes are trying to make Bush out to be the terrorist. And of course he can't tell us everything right now it would be a major breach of security.

Bush and Blair are the only ones (Publicly) that have the stones to want to bring a regime change to Iraq. But trust me there are a lot of other countries that are backing us up.

The only reason France is being such a pain is that they have worked decades on a friendly relationship with Iraq and now they can't get out of it. So they are just trying to save face right now but I do believe that internally they wholly support this effort.

We can argue/debate this forever. What's going to happen is what's going to happen. We the people voted for this government we the people should support it.

I am a tightwad!
I will cling to currency with all my might and it will take everything you've got to pry it from my fingers. You have got to convince me beyond all doubt, that this is currency well spent. Beyond all doubt, that this debt must be paid, that there is no possible way around it.
This Country's currency is it's men and women in Uniform.
The denominations are of various value:
an arm,
a leg,
an eye,
a close buddy,
thirty years of night sweats and bad dreams,
alcholism,
drug addiction,
and the big bill, life itself.

You want me to salute the flag, get in step and march to the drum, convince me,
beyond all doubt.

I am not a Tokyo Rose.
I served my Country and I have a right to question my government.
It is not a football game.
I don't care to remain silent until the next election, our currency may have been spent by then and there is no getting it back.

What I am truely offended by is the giant leap from someone who would question the war to one spitting on our men in uniform.

Either you Goose Step or you are a Spitter.
Some choice.

If we do not do it now, we will end up doing it later. After there have been more cowardly terrorist attacks against the innocent in this country.
And personally, having been in the IV Cop. (delta) of Viet Nam for 4 tours, and PROUDLY wearing the fruit salad on my chest in public places , I have never feared any cowardly S.O.B. even attempting to spit on me or my uniform.
God pity the poor bastard that would have ever tried.
I say, act now and explain to the world later. But remember, all of you that charged the U.S. for your participation in this one.
When the party is over, it is us ( get it?? U.S.) that spent the time, money, and lives. So if you want to enjoy your freedom, get your sorry a$$e$ in line and maybe something will trickle down to you.
This is my country, like it or leave it pally!!!!

There is no reason to convince everybody "beyond all doubt" because it can never be done. The case has been made and the facts are the facts.

Either people choose to believe them or the don't. There is absolutely no reason for our gov't to tell the public everything they know bascially for one simple reason:

Most would not believe it anyway.

We can go on "pretending" and "playing" like there has got to be a better way then war, but the FACT is there is NOT a better way then war and riding Iraq of Saddam. This is not a month long drama we have here, not 6 months, not a few years, it over 12 long years old and nothing has changed.

It is now time for change and we have a gov't (finally) with the ***** to take care of problems left by past wussie gov't like CLINTON for one, who did nothing but got America into deeper trouble.

Where in the hell were all these "anti-war" protesters when that lying piece of sh*t was saying and acting like he was going to do the same thing as the REAL MAN Bush is going to do. No where because the truth of the matter is MOST anti-war protesters don't know SH*T about what the hell is going on. All they know is since the REAL MAN in charge BUSH is a republician and not a wussie sh*t bag libearal they are "suppose" to protest against the same goddamn thing they were for only a few short years ago.

It has proven my point once again about LIBERALS, they have NO courage, NO moral values, NO conviction, NO core beliefs, NO *****, and NO F'ing brains.

Let me catch one MORON thinking or trying to spit on someone in the service and He will get the @ss beating of a life time. All I can say to the poor sh*t bag that trys it, is God be with you, and God have mercy on you because I sure in the hell won't...

NOTE:

Be foreward as well, if I see one piece of Sh*T scum bag burning an American Flag in my present here in America I will beat the man (wussie) so bad it won't be funny...

You think its games to burn the flag, and you think its your 1st amendment right (free speech) then it will be my 1st amendment right to exercise my (free speech) of beating your @ss. Yes my speech is an action, just like the action of burning a flag...

01 i think that your statement about liberals is a big judgemental BUT i agree to a point. Im an extreme conservative. Liberals, well they can kiss my ***. Clinton and Gore have to be THE BIGGEST jokes this country has ever seen. When Clinton knowingly lied to millions of Americans and Gore just being himself, i lost all respect. Some criticize Bush for talking like a Texan; well wake up he is a Texan, just cause he has a southern drawl and has a few odd sayings, he is no way stupid.
My faith is with Colon Powell and our military leaders, Bush's judgement whether we go to war or not, and our soldiers. We've got your back guys!!!
God Bless the US of A!!!!

I seem to be standing in some good company. Thanks 01 and Green 98, if only ALL Americans would stand together.

one of the most disappointing things after being recalled for saudi was that they wouldn't let us come back to our home towns in groups and they made us fly in at some very strange times. 2:00 am for me.
they were afraid people would try stupid chit like that on us.
