Any Termite guys on here ... I have a Q

We purchase our house 6.5 years ago (New construction). Had a room put outside the basement 3 years ago for yard toys (lawnmower etc.) Around the same time I had the Stucco cut up six inches from the ground. Called the termite company and they advised just to put out monitoring stations. We have been on that for 2.5 years and seem to always have a couple of station with activity. Well I got chicken and decided to have them to put a barrier around the whole house. It has not done anything to detour the termites.

When there is activity they say they come out once a month instead of quarterly. (I work at home and am here 95% of the time.) I have never see them unless I call. I called last Thursday and the supervisor says yea he came out already; did he not leave a slip? (It is these types of questions that just send me over the edge, because that is why called.) He goes on to tell me they are always to leave a slip. (I have never seen one, except for the ones that I receive when I am home) I go on to tell him that's nice, but I have not seen anyone from his company since October and I just pulled a monitor out to check and I saw 6 termites running around. He says OK he can send someone out next Monday. Well he came out today; of course I was not home. My wife calls and asks which station had the activity and I tell her. She tells me he says he sees that termites were there, but there is not any termites now and he cannot bait it. I told her to hand him the phone. He said the exact same thing again. (I told him what I thought of that.) Is that policy? I pull the damn stick out of the ground four days before he gets there and there are termites, Now since he did not see any but saw they were there he cannot bait. After I get home my wife told me that he was about to leave after I got off the phone, but she stopped him and asked if he was going to check the other stations? She had to go dig around the pine straw to show him where the other stations were located. Turns out two of the three had activity.

What should I do? Is there a good termite company in the Atlanta area?

I was in the Pub last week when a termite walked in and asked,
"Is the bar tender in here?"

I gave up drinkin.

Well I see this thread is old and you probably already have found another company to deal with by now. But I also live in the burbs of ATL and I use Cleary Exterminating to monitor my bait stations for activity and they do a great job. Not to mention they have been in business a long time now so you won't have to worry about them taking the initial fee then canceling the termite bond in a year. Anyway, I don't have a number for them now but you can find them in the phone book.

They always leave a slip on my door each time they come and let me know if any termites were found and where and what action was taken to get rid of them.
