Lariats
I saw something that you nomally don't see everyday. A regular cab Lariat, post 97. I know they didn't make very many of them and not many people have one. I know they used to make many of them pre-97, but not many since then.
Doesn't Raoul have one?
What year did they stop making them?

I know someone who has 1 - abuses the hell out of the truck & destroyed the motor. Seems that some people figure our trucks can go thru anything including water that is WAY too deep. That's because they're "extreme off roaders" (in their OWN minds) & don't use any sense. So now the truck has a new motor waiting to be destroyed again! Oh well - not everyone is qualified to drive these trucks I guess. You have to have some common sense & know your limits & not every F150 owner does or there'd be a lot fewer of us!

I saw one even rarer than mine. It was a Lariat Regular cab Flareside and it had to be a 97' or 98' with the 4.6L because it had a stick and you couldn't delete the Auto in '99.
I have ordered a book from Barnes & Noble that will be published at the end of Feb. It has the build numbers of Ford trucks from 1928 to 2002. It remains to be seen at what detail it will be broken down but, I hope for the best. I'll be sure sure and share the good stuff if there is any.
I have looked everywhere for build numbers and have come up empty.
I would like to get answers to questions like:
'How many SuperCab Longbeds were built in 1998?'
'How many 4.2L, 4.6L, 5.4L in that model?
'Auto or Manual?'
'How many of each color were built?'
Wouldn't be interesting to know how many were built exactly like yours?

I've been wondering the same thing about the build numbers. I'd love to get actual numbers on how many KR's were manufactured in 2001 and, more specifically, how many Chestnut colored ones...
Wish we could get our hands on that information. The HD and L guys know because they have a set number that they're going to manufacture when they start that model year. Those of us that have something that is unique (but not limited) have no idea how many were made.
