Is this Normal for 4x4
I know this with probably sound stupid and bit late in the game to ask, but I am new to 4x4.
I would call my sales rep but she doesn't know the truck from a whole in the ground.
This was my first 4x4 truck. Is it normal that the truck seems quite a bit different in 4x4.
I know that it will do odd things on dry pavement when steering.
When I am driving it seems very different on the transmission. It put a much larger lag on it. In terms of what I am talking about it would kind of seem like I had the emergency brake half on in a 2 wheel drive vehicle.
You let off of the gas and the thing really starts to slow down, different that 2WD.

Hello there, nice looking truck! I think what you are experiencing is normal. The truck will feel a little bogged down while it is in four wheel drive, but only to a point. The way you describe it sounds normal to me, though, that is how I would describe mine.
very normal for a 4X4 to feel like that. remember the motor is doing more work because it has to physically turn 2 driveshafts and then axles etc.
same with slowing down, more drag on coasting speed due to extra drivetrain parts movement.
nice truck.
