For those of you not familiar with Steiger tractors...the tractor that was involved in the chase was a very large one. Its one of the BIG ones with 8 tires that steers in the middle. About the same size as the one pictured below that was a little too heavy for the bridge that it was on.

It kinda reminds me of something I did.

I was driving a huge John Deere tractor down a long highway. I was keeping as close to the side of the road as possible. After about 7 miles a couple of people passed me yelling and cursing. Well to make a long story short the rear axles stuck out three feet past the rear wheels. So for 7 miles I was taking every mailbox and didn't know it. In all it was 54 mailboxes.

LMAO! Mailboxes are a pain in the *** when moving equipment. My dad and I farm land in a 20 mile radius of home so I have had alot of experience moving equipment. Other drivers are really a pain in the *** and they get very impatient with us. Driving down narrow country roads every time I go past a mailbox I have to swerve around them. I cant even count how many times I have almost wiped out a car because I have to swerve out for a mailbox and they are trying to pass me. I always slow down and pull over as far as I can and let people pass whenever I can but sometimes there is only so much that you can do.

I have only been close to taking out a mailbox once, I was driving the combine home and making a left hand turn off the highway and onto a county road. I had to get off the busy highway quickly and as I was doing so, a semi was coming up to the highway on the road that I was turning onto. He got over as far as he could but I ended up with the edge of the combine head being 6 inches or less from the semi and I watched in my right side mirror the mailbox get pushed out of the way by the tires. Luckily the mailboxes around here are all break-away swinging types so no damage was done other than some scratches.

Reminds me of the time someone stole a tank and the police were chasing it. It was just running over light poles and parked cars. I think it was on real TV or cops. It was funny!

ricekicker,
that tank chase was very funny! The police had no way of stopping that tank, but at the end do you remember how they ended it?
I think they popped the hatch and shot the dude dead.

The tank tried to climb the center concrete median and got hung up. The cops jumped on top of the stuck tank and used bolt cutters to open the hatch, when they did that the guy in the tank, gunned the motor, so they fired off a couple shots in him

YEP, they shot the dumbsh*t DEAD. It was a great thing to do. Once less moron to worry about, one less moron to feed in prison, and one less moron to sue for something stupid...
