Give the next generation a hand

Hey, we're engineering students at Northwestern University, and we're working on a design project that involves the Ford F150.

Our job is to redesign the front center console/third seat of the truck. Bascially, our main question is, "What do people keep in their console?"

Input form anybody would be great, but we are !currently lacking information from those whose main use of their truck is work related. If you do use your truck for work, just say so. If not, what do you use it for?

This project is sponsored by Ford, so if our design is good enough, you might see it in a few years. Thanks!

I would like a center console that would keep a 12 pack of your favorite beverage cold . All the while have storage for the other miscellaneous odds and ends.

I use my truck for personal use,not work, but I keep (in my console) a fuel log and pen, my tire pressure gague, my sunglasses, my wallet and money, my cigarettes, any loose paper that I have, cds, pens and pencils and such. It would be cool to see a 'throwback' console like the old vans that had the cb and everything built into the console! That would be bling with a disco ball!

cigs, beer, loose paper/receipts, wallet -

BTW, I am happy with my console on my F150HD - I think the size is fine.

I didn't expect any less from you FastGator

I also don't use my truck for work....and although I already have a place for my sunglasses, tissues, garage door opener, and cds, I still would like a place (where they wouldn't roll around and make noise) for the following:

pen
loose change
cell phone charger
fold up sun shade
flashlight
extra towing items...hitch *****,plugs, etc

that's all for now...
