How many yellows did Jr. cause at the rock?
If I recall, Mark Martin and Al Unser Jr. are tied for the most wins, and Earnhart has the most championships in IROC. BUT, I was at the IROC race at the Brickyard where E won his last championship. If he would've finished one position less, he would not have won the championship. Anyone know who was driving in the car right behind Earnhart and wouldn't attempt a pass .... it was none other than Earnhart's test driver Dave Marcis. Like so many of Earnhart's championships, it was tainted.
Now you ask, "Why was Dave Marcis in IROC?" Because one of the drivers pulled out that year (Al Unser Jr.?) and they used Marcis to fill in.
