You guys here about this?

A friend informed today that there were some nuts out there who were caught trying to sell wreckage of the space shuttle on ebay. Ebay pulled the auctions quickly (Thank God). This type of stuff just goes to show you just how low some people will go to make a profit. Ill bet that if it were possible, some fool would even try and sell his own soul on ebay if they could ..Disgusting to say the least.

The first thing I said to my dad when I saw they had found wreckage was "Watch dad, some idiots will try and sell pieces of the space shuttle on ebay.... how lame." Its horrible to see this kinda crap go on.

I heard they treated 20 people for burns from the toxic chemicals on the debris. As for the idiots who tried to make a profit off of a tragic disaster, that is just sick! Some people have no mercy when it comes to making a buck.

It's horrible they put this on Ebay! They should give it to authorities immediately to help prevent this again!

I had the SAME EXACT conversation with my father, and sure enough, last night i seen it on there!!!! Did you also read that the people posting the auction were submitted to the feds!!! Serves them right.

Sure is a sad time in the US, and sadly, it could be getting worse!!!

yeah the Feds are telling everyone down here if you find it dont move it...if you take it you will be charged with interfering with a federal investigation and theft of federal property...as far as anyone getting burned it aint true...they were admitted for observation and detoxed as prevention and sent home...what I thought was really sad was the idiot that called CBS and was talking to Dan Rather, telling him he was from Euleff(actually Euless) and telling Rather that a piece of debrie had landed in his yard but it wasnt shuttle debrie,it was from an alien craft, and when Rather started Questioning him about it he called Rather an idiot...they cut him off quick and Rather handled it rather graciosly

Wow. Seeing that helmet just make my heart skip a second. I didn't personally know any of the astronauts, but... I feel horrible for the family's. Atleast we know that they were taken quickly, and did not have to go through too much before their lives were taken.

From what I heard, some of the "toxic" parts are radioactive. Maybe those people who were trying to sell those bolts will get cancer for their stupidity and greed.

Absolutely horrible event.

I heard it & expected it, after hearing people trying to sell WTC dust - asbestos & all. What a sad statement this makes about some people.
On a more positive note, I saw 2 listings form 2 different sellers saying NOT to buy from Ebay - to buy from NASA & support them instead. There may be others but I'm not sure - I just looked quick to see if there were still listings for the debris - I was going to email those despicable people & tell them to get a life & report it to Ebay.
I really hope these people do get turned into the FBI or FEMA - they deserve to be prosecuted for tampering w/evidence & theft on a Federal case. That should put a dent in their listings & give them a great big negative rating - seems that's all they'd care about since they have no respect for the dead.
