If you truly think GW Bush has greater loyalties to oil companies than to his nation, you are obviously incapable of understanding the man and his honorable intentions.

Since you must not have listened to the speech, Bush is pushing research into hydrogen cells to power the autos of the future. And he listed a bunch of costly social programs (international and national) that he supports.

Instead of undermining your president, try giving him a chance.

BTW, Bush listed plenty of information about Irag's missing weapons of mass destruction that have never been accounted for.

Yes, your buddy Clinton got this country into the economic troubles it is in today. This is the Clinton recession. Bush now has to try and correct 8 years of misdeeds by your pal. Korea has NUKES today that Bush now has to figure out a way to clean up. 98Cobra had it absolutely correct about the economy does not happen in weeks, months or a year. It takes YEARS for any programs implemented to have an effect on the economy. The things Bush is doing now won’t really be felt for years to come. Tax cuts etc. Anyone that believes otherwise, like yourself, is just plain foolish or DON’T want to believe reality and how the world really works.

Yes, the great economy Clinton inherited was basically from Regan. It was the tax cuts to business that had one of the greatest effects on the economy. How, because it freed up more money for research and development. Also Regan’s BIG military build-up help to fuel the economy and research and development. Where do you think some things like GPS came from? Do you think cell ones were developed and manufactured in a few months? No it took years. Same for many other HIGH TECH things that made the 90’s one of the greatest economies thus far. None of that was done while Clinton was in office, he just got to reap the rewards from it. Clinton and his gang hiked up taxes to record amounts so less money for big business to do research and development. Anyway that’s more to get into in another thread or debate.

But don’t come here whining about you’re a Chevy owning democrat and act like everyone else here is a ***** for calling you out. You have your right to an opinion and so do I. If you truly want to debate them come here with something more then your liberal talking points that most likely you have no clue what they mean.

It’s great you like Fords, but know this that this is a Ford site so if you start talking about how your Chevy’s are better then Ford’s and lasting longer (then them Fords out back rusting) then you had best get yourself a box of Kleenex for your tears if your going to start crying every time something gets upset with you.

If we didn't have to support many of the ill-managed farmers with subsadies we would have more money to support everything else. Owning your own business, do you get any subsadies, no you get taxed and taxed again on all your hard work for preparing for your family (college, retirement, etc.) Having no tax dividends will be greatly appreciated. First off, your taxed on the goods you sell, your employees are taxed on ther pay checks, then you have to match that tax for all the FICA and income taxes, then taxed on your savings, all becouse you are a responsible citizen. As far as the person being able to handle thier own SS money, thats great. If you waste your money and have little as you get old and cant afford food, you can die off and solve many of our problems.

Whoa whoa whoa!! Who is getting their panties in a bunch here? Those photos I posted...I found them funny and I was just passing them along. I didnt do any photoshopping...the pic in question I found on the internet. I dont know if its real or not...it looks real to me, like it was scanned off a newspaper or magazine. Notice the graininess. Besides...the point is that it was a friggin joke, no harm or serious statement intended.

Im not getting upset over anything! Im not whining about being a Chevy driving democrat. I just like a little lively debate. Nowhere in any of my posts have I resorted to personal attacks or put someone down because of their opinions.

As for my comments about the economy. I realize that things dont happen in a day, week, month or year. And they are more complicated then who is in office as president. The current economy is not George W. Bush's fault, at least not entirely. The main reason is 9/11. The comment that I made about how someone was going to come back at me and blame Clinton for the current economic troubles and how Reagan was going to be credited with our previous economic high...I did not state that because I know it to be true. I stated it because I have heard it on this board before. And Im not sure but I beleive it was you 01 XLT Sport.

But I believe that Bush's economic plan is a bad one. And it is only going to help the rich get richer. That is my opinion...you are free to disagree. Maybe Im wrong, maybe you are wrong. But just because someone disagrees with you doesnt mean they are foolish or dont know what they are talking about.

Even though I dont always agree with Bush, I do support him because he is MY president. I love this country, God Bless the USA and God Bless our president. He has a difficult job and he isnt going to be able to please everyone all the time. Conservative...Liberal doesnt really matter. Im not either one, Im a moderate and I agree with both parties. But when I vote I vote for the lesser of the two evils. Most likely its a democrat, maybe its a rebublican. But for arguments sake if I have to classify myself as one or the other I consider myself a Democrat.

But I am an American, you are an American. We are part of the greatest nation on earth and Im damn proud of it.

President calls for 10% tax break

Poor Man Gets $1 dollar
Rich Man gets $10 dollars

Raoul's simple example sums up the flaw in most liberal arguments against tax relief. The fact is that the top 20% of earners contribue 80% of the tax money in the first place.

In other words, most people could pay nothing and we would get about the same ammount of money. The liberal argument is aimed at the 80% of the voters who think that a tax break would only help rich people. It's easy to play to the masses and tell them "that Fat-Cat is going to get a $2500 tax cut" and forget to mention that he will still pay $10,000-$15,000 in assorted taxes.

 

Excellent post. Tax cuts help EVERYBODY. Don't matter who gets what percentage it helps EVERYBODY. However, those that pay NO income tax do NOT deserve to get any free hand out money (credits). That is the liberal way, take it from the man/women who bust their @@s and give it to some lazy @@s.

So, you have just been looking to call me out all day. Interesting, must be bored and know I love a good debate especially with a Liberal. Ranter then posting some BS in the other thread about how you have Fords out back rusting and you Chevy trucks are much better etc. and then posting some liberal talking points here in this thread to gain my undue attention why not just come out in the open and start a thread of your very own. I can tell you if its interesting enough I'll be there. I love debating like a hobby, with libearls its like having a great hobby and eating cake as well.

As far as the pictures even the one that I saw of Clinton with the lens on I thought was BS. I don't like Clinton but I know he is not that stupid. You may think Bush is stupid but lets be real be it Clinton or Bush they are not going to stand there looking at darkness and not think WTF.

Im chilling, no worries. The internet community isnt terribly important to me. Its just a place to kill time and I dont take anything personally. Im having a slow day today. No class, I got my homework done early this morning and Ive been sending off applications and resumes in an attempt to find a job. I apologize if I posted a bogus, fake pic...I thought it was real. I never said Bush was stupid. But you gotta admit it is kinda funny and I only meant to post it for a laugh which several guys on here did do.

As for posting BS in the other thread, it wasnt BS. Just my experience and I wasnt trolling. Yeah we got a couple Fords rusting out back...I can post pics if you want. As I stated in the other thread we have a couple other Fords that are still going strong even though they look like crap. As for more Chevys being in the junkyard I think its probably about equal. In my experience junkyard vehicles around here are those that have been in accidents. Most that are old, used, abused and dead generally go to scrap and are recycled into new steel.

I love debating too...hopefully we can do it again sometime without resorting to criticizing each other. Will I always be right? Hell yes! Will you always be right? Hell no! LOL

Keep in mind that tax cuts are designed to help reduce the ammount on the check you send to Uncle in April, and reduce your tax burden overall.

If you are deciding on how you plan to spend your refund check this may not be a clear concept.
