Just curious, What kind of dog is that in your sig? It looks like a terrier of some kind. My Sheltie needs a companion and I want to get a terrier.

airdale terrior.
I've always had them since I was a kid. Good dogs with allot of intelligence. Buddy runs of the treadmil, climbs up the slide in the pool and goes down it. swims constantly in the summer and chills in the swin chairs in the pool.
they get to about 70 pounds give or take a little.
I love them and I'll always have airdales for a dog, but I think I want one of the kelly blue terriors with an airdale. Buddy who's in the pic is getting very old (born april 27th 1992, yeah I know it) and I'm not sure he's going to make it more then a couple years cause he's come down with a couple things at once and medication is slowing it down but he's having trouble going up and down the stairs now. I'm hoping that by spring he'll be moving better, but the vet said its doubtful. I've had him since he was 6 weeks old. Went to get him and I picked him cause of all the dogs at the ladies house he was the only one that just followed me everywhere and wouldn't leave me alone.
My other one junior is getting worse in his old age. He's pretty crazy though and he won't stop f&*king around til the day he dies. That dog is always ready to run around and play with you while buddy just looks at him like you nuts man. Junior is about 11 years old too, but we don't know for sure. He was a animal shelter dog that we found when buddy ran away once. Saw junior there too and brought him home also, they have been best friends since then. Junior was badly abused though, the vet found be be's under his skin. who shot him I don't know but there still there and he hates it when you touch them.
Oh well thats them.

I've started to work Duke with the breeder for Schutzhund training. He's just learning doggie basics for now, but my breeder feels that he can one day be a national Schutzhund champion if I dedicate myself to it.

Sal...I started to do Schutzhund with my Rottie when he was only 10 weeks (started him on tracking with hot dog bits). When I found out that to get to champion level it would take a nearly full-time commitment on my part or the better part of $10K for a trainer I decided that obedience training was enough. He stills knows the German commands and will "Seek" when told to do so...
Now if I could just get this thing protection trained...
She's a Wire-Haired Venezuelan Water Dog...more commonly referred to as a Capybara (world's largest rodent - although she only tipped the scales at 58 pounds). Unfortunately she passed Saturday morning after my wife and I had only had her for a year.

Very sorry to hear that....the loss of a pet is very hard, escpecially since you didn't have her very long. I lost a pet of mine a few years ago and a day still doesn't go by that I don't think of her
RIP
bluelightning--I totally agree! I always had dogs growing up and I have continued to have them as an adult. When and if we have children, I will defintely get them a dog. We currently have a boxer, and he is so much to handle right now, it's like having kids around!
Lightning Tuner---great looking dobie! I had a beautifl Doberman gowing up..she was the best!
retics4me--Very cute pic! I can't believe the size of him! LOL...those dogs have the best expressions on their faces.
Hey, if any of you dog lovers are interested, there is a good pet board I belong towww.petspotlight.com lots of good "pet" people on there, and good information too. I am "aboxerslove"over there.

Sal got a great idea. Get the clippers out and shave a Lightning bolt on both sides of that pincher. Bring him to the tracks!::

i've just got a mut. no idea what its a mix of. he's old though, like 12 years old...just got lime disease so he's not doing too well right now
Losing a pet has to be one of the hardest thing in life, with the exception of a child.
I tell everyone I lost 118 lbs and most people can't believe it.
It cost me my house, but it was worth it to get her out of my life
