this is excatly why I don't want my hubby to get a motorcycle! Not that he would be doing any tricks like this idiot, and he would ALWAYS wear his helmet...you just never know what can happen.

He is currently looking into a few different bikes. I am trying to be a supportive wife, but when I keep seeing things like that video and reading about motorcycle accidents, I just get nervous
don't use stupid stuff like this to be wary of getting a bike. people who stunt w/o gear are the same ones who would check their brakes by driving full tilt at a brick wall. then forget to hit the brakes.
cycles can be great and are no more dangerous then cars in most situations. yes you're more vulnerable but you're also more aware of your surroundings.
if you want to be supportive make some slight requests, like you'll agree to the bike if he agrees to always wear a helmet or something like that. also no drinking on the bike at all. too many people buy bikes just for a bar hopper.
you may want to check fla's ins rates first, when i lived there it was outrageous to ins a bike. i've been on 'em for 30 years now and don't regret a single minute of it.
BTW if you need opinions on bikes don't be afraid to ask, there's quite a few here who ride, on many different styles of bikes so i'm sure you'd get an "earfull"
