Cold Weather

How cold is it for everyone today?

For the first time in several years it has reached into the teens here in North Florida. The official low was 19. It is always several degrees cooler than that where I live. We also had very gusty winds around 20 mph or more at times. Even at 10:00 this morning it was still below freezing. Us people in Florida don't see these kind of temps very often, so that is really cold for us. We didn't get to see any snow though.

I was just curious and to put our temp in perspective with everyone else so I wanted to see what is the temp is like where everyone else is.

I live in Tampa..and it was 25 this morning when I came into work. The truck thermo said "ICE" and yes, there was ice on the plants, grass, and even the cars
I have never seen it this cold in Florida before!

People make fun of us for having a fire place, but it came in handy last night...took the chill out of the house very nicely! We only get to make a fire about once or twice a year...so it's a nice change.

I am sure it was ALOT colder elsewhere...hope everyone is staying warm and dry out there

We are having a heatwave of 19*, with a windchill of 8*. The last couple of days had been single digit days. Supposed to get up into the mid thirties the middle of next week!

I'll second the Florida folks. It was 27 here in Orlando at 6:00am this morning. Don't know what the windchill was but I know I was freezing my a** off. Can't wait for those sunny 90 degree days again.

How about -12 with a wind chill of -35?
Hot water pipe to the kitchen froze overnight.
Dog won't go outside.
Semi had to high-idle at 1300 rpm for an hour before it ran smoothly enough to leave the yard.
But the Ford fired right up and ran like it was summer.

I made the mistake Friday morning, when it was 25 degrees, of spraying my windshield washer going 50 mph. It turned to an instant sheet of ice. I had to pull over quickly with the wipers on high for a few minutes.

I saw on the news last night that several areas of the east coast of FL. got some snow flurries. This was south of Orlando. I had three shirts on Friday morning. I usually wear shorts year round. This winter here in Florida sucks! The coldest I've ever seen.

Thumbs up

Seacrow, you're not supposed to use straight water in freezing weather?? All kidding aside, we can use water down in Houston too. As long as it's above 32 anyway.
I leave the frozen tundra of central Michigan this morning. The forecasted weather of 60's next week is gonna feel like the July, lol! This 15-20 degree temps everyday is getting real old.,,,,98
