What mods will the average newbie do first?

Based on YOUR estimations what do you think the AVERAGE new user will have modded on their truck within the first few months of accessing this site?

Tires and wheels?
Stereo and/or speakers?
Grilles?
Ground effects?
HeadLights and tails?
Chips?
Exhaust? FIPK?
ALL of the above? Or more?

I, initally, was looking for ways to maximize gas mileage, and was interested in Exhaust and intake options..... BUT.......
I ordered headlights and tails within a few weeks, to be quickliy replaced by the complete Lightning set. I also was looking for Tonneau cover options, and found a bunch to choose from as well.

What about you? This should be a fun topic.....

What did you just HAVE to get after seeing it on display by one of the established members?

I think for me it is going to be the step bars and the bed liner. For my F150.

I don't know if I will do anything after that for awhile.

Except with the exception of getting a bug guard - yoo hoo on that though - it's not exciting to me.

My dream truck in the 4x4 four door F350 with mud all over it, lights, the bars in the back etc etc.... MMMMMMM

1st thing I did to mine was a bed liner. A few months later I installed a cd player. I have had mine since 98 though.

Before I even came to this site I had a Line-X put in and my windows tinted. I had already planned on a K&N FIPK and Gibson Cat-Back and I already ordered them via the internet which is how I found this site. After becoming a member, I HAD to have the Superchips Tuner which was a Great decision since I was actually waiting for one of the other companies to develop theirs for my truck.

Then I saw people doing the acetone, so I did my 'tritionV8' badges and removed the plastic and blue paint from my front and rear ovals.

I would REALLY like the Xenarc lights, but I gotta wait for the prices to drop some more...

This site is great, but expensive

For me it's a new head unit and either a bedliner (bedrug) or bed cover.

My first mods were a Flowmaster exhaust, and a Kenwood cd player and Infinity speakers. My (very near) future mods will be a MAC air intake, Gibson 3" single cat back, tinted windows, and a tonneau cover. It never ends does it?

I don't know if you could call it my first, but I had the step tubes installed when I bought it, along with the bed liner. About 2 weeks after I had it I bought the tool box since at the time I lived in an apartment with no garage and need somewhere to store some of my stuff.

I've had mine for a month. Its a white 98 ext cab 4x4. the first owner put an airraid TB spacer on it and a K&N, Wheels and tires BFG allterrains, and chrome step bars. My first mods were bug guard and ventvisors and the Ford rubber floor mats front and rear and a diamond plate toolbox(Santa) I put in an Eclipse 8051 headunit, Eclipse 5422 amp, Boston Acoustics 6.5 pro components and a Solo-Baric 12. I'm savin up for some '01 or '02 Lightning headlights.

hey offroadmaniac, the instructions say "do not transport 4 wheeler in an upright position"

My first mod was the winch, followed by lift, wheels and 35s

okay, the average person, not necessarily an F150Onliner

window tint
cap/tonneau

would be the first things done within the first 2 weeks.
