Immigration and Customs

Just got back from the Cayman Islands yesterday and encountered something very bizarre. After we passed through Immigration (Atlanta airport), we had to go through the metal detectors and x-ray machines. All of a sudden, someone yelled "DO NOT MOVE" and everyone froze. Then about 100 guards went running towards this dude and took him away. I have no idea what happened or who he was.

Have any of you ever encountered anything weird or unusual in an airport?

Jenn in MD

<--- I love this dude.

Yeah...

They do terrorist searches on little old ladies. Very weird!

That would tend to freak me out. Someday they will do it with logic and actually PROFILE as they should. PROFILING is good and makes logically sence. Nothing wrong with it at all.

You have to admit some old ladies can be down right terrifing with them canes...

Thumbs up

I agree with you about the profiling.

I went through the New Jersey airport a few months back and saw security pretty much strip-searching a guy behind a curtain. The only thing he had left on was his pants and his unbuttoned shirt! LOL! And he was still setting off the wand!

I like the little banana dude, too!

by the way did you read where that lady was setting off the detectors at the airport and it ended up being a surgical tool left in her from a previous surgery...that doctor needs a peg board and outline of his tools

it is kinda freaky how our government operates and how they end up catching people sometimes. They'd probley been watching him for some time and had a warrent for his arrest. Gotcha!

I went on the airlines about 5 months ago (during the summer) and there were these arabs in front of us boarding the plane. Anyways...their whole crew just walk right on the plane and they end up checking my 13 year old sister. I was complaining that a muslim family had just walked past and they were scanning a white 13 yo girl. They said it goes by random numbers which is a load of BS. I think racial profiling is good. If 100% of the terrorists are muslim/arabs...then scan the muslims/arabs for weapons.

Saw some har-krishnas dancing around once back in the late 60's. Having just come off the farm and never having been to
the big city, I was amazed. One asked if I wanted to buy some
incense and all I could do was stare at the SOB.
