The ticket is to do nothing but generate revenue that's lost from Gray Davis' cut backs . As more cuts happen you can expect to be paying more for less. Your ticket is just an example of how local governments recoup losses and this is only the beginning .

Welcome to California ,

Good weather but it is slowly becoming intolerable for many reasons you will probably come recognize.

I disagree. I think Az has just as nice weather. We dont get near as many bad storms as you guys do.

next time cooter pulls you over, just tell him that you were just on your way back to the base. Maybe he will give you a break if he knows your in the military. The base is basically the only thing keeping Linda going. I think the only reason he gave you a tix is cause of your out of state plates. btw Linda is NOT a very nice place. Its full of cranksters and home of the $5 hooker. I used to work up there in a liquor store (Circus Liquor at 1545 N.Beale rd.) and go to the community college.
I checked out your gallery pics. Nice. Are there B1's stationed at Beale? The U2's are there too right?
Anyways Welcome to California (you did leave your sidearm in Texas right? )
Jes

I thought if you were active military stationed at a base but your home (residence) is out of state you can keep your home state plates and drivers license. Use a relatives address is you have to. Put your base sticker in the front windshield.

AZ is a one plate state and I've been asked where my front plate is when in CA and I just laugh at 'em. We dont have front plates!
Our windows are tinted in front too.

and btw - our weather has been pretty good this week unlike the strom ripping thru Cali and shutting off power and flooding streets etc

Lol,

Im not really gonna knock AZ., I love that state; they got ***** as far as dealing with the Federal Govt. and are way more realistic about laws. -And you guys have Many of my favorite places: Havasu, Grand Canyon and countless beautiful places.
As a matter of fact, Im thinking AZ. will be a great place to retire.... since CA. is too expensive to live in when Im retired

I just dont appreciate dimwitts talking BS about CA. when, obviously, they have no idea.

Thumbs up

Well went to talk to the cops on base today. They said I have to take off the window visors, the tail light covers, and put my stock turn signals back in. But I can keep the tint. Very happy about that. I haven't even had the windows tinted for a year yet. Oh yea it wasn't really a ticket it was a "correction notice" telling me to fix the stuff or I will be fined.
No the B-1s are not here they are at Dyess AFB, Tx. where I just left.

I am both in the Military, and a police officer. And if your truck has texas plates on it, then Texas laws apply to your trucks mods. I carry a list of laws of different states (ie. # of plates required, tint, Drivers License extensions, etc.). So even if you are in the military stationed in California, but your Home of Residence is Texas, and your truck is registered in Texas, then you can have your truck modded according to texas laws. It is basically like you are driving through, and you just have to be within texas laws. You are not a resident of California, unless you live off base. Actually the Air Force Base is federal property, not California property.

Side Arms

Rocketir,

I take it that CA doesn't have concealed weapons permits? This is one area where I think the States have no right to ban the Bearing of Arms. But until you guys can flush out the likes of all the 'Rosie O'Donnell's', that RIGHT will never be restored.

Has anyone ever tried to challenge this?

BTW, I love to visit CA, but I'd never live where I was prohibited from excercising my right to carry a gun.
