Thanks. After three phone calls (Nice folks a United Road Service) I did get a hold of the local dispatcher - they were just in the process of loading up the truck; expect to deliver sometime tonight to the dealership!

I learned that Benicia is a major hub for new autos. Apparently it was receiving over 24 shipments of auto at its port per month before the economy went South. Not sure how many they receive by train, but glad Ford appears to be doing so well.

Hopefully I'll be able to post a photo in the next couple of days.

Thanks,

- Rick

And here it is

Thanks again Setchan for tracking our new truck.

It is a simple work truck, Regular Cab, long bed, a few electronic extras, including tow hitch. All for about the same price we paid 24 years ago for a much smaller Nissan V6, Kingcab (236,000 trouble free miles - she still runs well, minus getting wacked by a tree). We expect the same or better mileage, over double the horse power (302 vs. 140), twice the cargo capacity, and a gazillion new features, i.e. air bags, automatic transmission, traction control, power windows/mirrors, Cd player, cruise control, air conditioning, etc.
