Hey you got a build date! Looks like your about a week or so ahead of me. Though it seems like your eta is out there quite a bit. I haven't been keeping a spreadsheet or anything but I had it in my head that most eta's were about 2 weeks after build. Are you a long ways from MI? I'm in OR. so I might have a long wait too.

 

Hey Tooner, I'm "inIL". that's why MCinIL. I'm close to St. Louis. Just so I get it by the end of Feb I'm fine. No big hurry as my current truck is good.

SETCHAN, I am wondering if you can check on something for me. On my truck when I,we built it on the Ford website the off road package was included with the 3.73 elec lock rear and I don't see anything mentioned of it on the sticker. If it is not included is it too late to make sure it is? I notified my dealer od it and he kinda isn't sure.

If your question is, whether you're getting the 3.73 elec lock or not, the answer is Yes.

Off road package is 55A and i dont see that on your sticker.

I'd say.....go see your dealer and have him fix it if there is something not right with your order. If he tells you it's to late to make that change, you have the option to cancel the order and order another one.
What do you mean by "your dealer isn't sure?" He'd better find out for you.

Just seen that it is to late to make changes. Forget about that.

 

Hi SETCHAN, I being new to ordering vehicles here is what I think has happened.

My dealer ordered my truck as I asked by the info from the Ford site, build your own from a print out I printed. In the XTL part when you select the 3.73 elect lock diff, it automatically adds the off road package. It added 695 to the build over the 3.31 price. All seemed ok and in the next page on the site it showed the off road package. I, nor the dealer caught that on his order screen it didn't automatically add the off road. That is another option on his screen to order at another price. That in my opinion is BS as the web site I saw it was not.

I called Ford on their toll number and tried to explain this. They understood and were very helpful as they still couldn't figured it either but will get back to me in a week or such, as they said. Don't get me wrong, they were nice and courteous but not much help except acknowledging there is a problem. My dealer did say he got it changed and we'll see about the price diff. I think Ford should make it up not him nor I. This is why most folks hate going to dealers, as the price seems to always change.

I do see on my order it was a XL6 ordered when we needed a 55A as you mentioned. Yeah a 175 difference. No huge deal but not what I thought.

Anyway, thanks for the help and I am still stoked about getting the truck. Got stuff ordered coming in and more due in each day for it. My wife thinks I'm silly but it's going to be sweet when it's done.

Your best bet is to talk with your dealer.
