Go on Edmunds.com and configure you truck. This will give you the invoice price and what others in your area are paying... Which will give you a ball park figure on where you should be... Also check out all rebates and incentives that are available and make sure you get those included in the deal. They offer rebates for folks in the service, police, and college students that are not regularly advertised...

I already checked the incentives.. They are giving me $5000 in rebates total. I am active duty so that helped. I think that I will offer around $37000, plus the $5k in rebates,,, Sounds good to me!

Are you a USAA member? The USAA Car Buyers Program will guarantee a price based on the dealer's invoice price, minus any incentives. Its a good price with no haggling.

Ask for the xplan price (you can get a pin from many places on google) and then ask them to go into holdback and under x plan pricing. I got them to go into holdback by 1200, plus 200 under x plan. It is a 2010 FX$ loaded Screw 4x4 luxury pak MSRP 43985, + their added liner and striping was 45k. Got it at 39000 then 5k off in incentives. OTD was 25k for my 08 XLT, and 10800 inc TT. I think I did ok.

Hey mulie,

I'm military too and I checked into the USAA pricing program and found that I could get a better deal by being a Costco member. I'll post a pic price breakdown on the truck that I actually just bought about 45 minutes ago...
I'm not sure how this stacks up to the X plan price but I believe it's pretty close if not an equal deal. Only cost about $50 for a Costco membership if you're not already a member.

That is pretty close to the X-Plan pricing. Your truck is configured the same way as mine, sans the exterior color. Glad you opted for the Nav - it is awesome. I wasn't to hip on the tailgate step for the price, but I have to admit I use it.....I call it the "man step". And if you raise the pole.....welll......you get the idea. Just tell 'em not to get their shoes caught in the tailgate ribs......

Congrats on the purchase and post the pics when you get it!
