Power steering leak

For the 2nd time now I have a leak in my power steering system. The first time was the pump, now it’s the box where the input shaft goes into the steering box. The whole thing is soaked with fluid. Has anyone else had these kinds of problems?

Steering shaft seal leaks are common, second leak maybe something that caused first leak, Just an example, contaiminated fluid that takes out the seal, or when a pump shells out and puts metal in the fluid...When the first seal went out, did you drain the whole system or just the pump fluid?? May want to consider draining as much fluid as possible...

Well it ended up being the steering gear. There is a new one on the way since it cannot be repaired. The dealer said it was the 2nd one this week they had. Must be a common problem?
