How rough is the ride in the F250 / 350's?

Hey,

I'm in the process of Lemon Lawing My '02 F150, so I may be looking into buying either an F-250 or F-350 soon. I'd like to get an F350 regular cab SLT w/ v-10.

The question is, since the suspension is much more beefed up than the F-150, how stiff is the ride? Also, over time, did you experience any problems with the front end, i.e., sloppy components, frontend alignment, etc...

I know the sissor style front suspension arms caused alignment problems (caster/camber) on the older trucks in the past.

Thanks,
Bob

I have a 2000 F-250 SD, 4x4,ORP,Lariat,V-10, with all the bells and whistles and then some. I have 50,000, actually, a little over... It rides GREAT! I haven't had one problem with it, ever. I just recently got rid of the stock shocks, for Edelbrocks IAS shocks, and that made the ride way better; on road and off road! The V-10 is awesome! What else can I tell you? Just ask, if I can answer, I will! Did I mention that I am a woman? I will always, only drive an SD!

Hi,

Hey, thanks for the reply! Sounds like you have a nice truck there. I'm leaning more towards the F-350 myself. My main concern was the bounciness of the ride when the truck is unloaded, but I guess some bouncing around once in awhile is to be expected...no biggy, hey is a truck, right?

If all goes well with my F-150 lemon law proceedigs, I should be in one by the end of November, hopefully-

When you said you were a women truck owner I wasn't surprised at all. I see more and more women driving big trucks these days...why not? I think it's cool. An F-250 is a much safer vehicle to be in on the hiway anyway, besides, isn't it interesting to see how people are less likely to cut you off or pull out in front of you when your in a truck?

When my truck was in the shop for ongoing transmission problems, ford lent me a ford focus...driving a tinny focus death trap on route 80, now that was scary! People acted like I was invisable, cutting me off, ridding my a**, pulling out in front of me...man, I'd rather be driving an old dump truck than one of those things again- LOL

Anyway, Thanks again for the info-
Bob
