G2 PSD/DMAX/CUMMINS tested!
Another site I visit released a test of the three combos. Long story short they said the G2 was the quickest in all test done! 
They also gave the new 5 speed tranny a thumbs up, and placed it above the Allison in terms of operation.
The only real "knock" they had was the dash, and from the pictures it did seem behind the quality and styling of the others.
Steve, I'm not one to post outside links, but this IS the first online source that I know of that has the scoop. Would you mind a link to another site in this instance?

The scoop I got on the 5r110 was it was developed before the Allison, but ford did not release it until the G2..The Allison is design based on the 5R110...The Ford is heavier duty...
IMHO-Ford should have remodeled the Super Duty with the G2 and 5 spd..
Even worse, they are selling 7.3's in the 2003 and then change to the G2 at quarter year...
Yes if the G2 goes over it is going to be better then the 7.3, which is almost 20 years old...Not bad for a stone age engine...

Well since I have seen no objections..... Check out the review over at Pickuptruck.com
The future of the G2 and the new tranny is looking bright. They also have a test being lined up for later in the month with a 6 speed version tested against the HO Cummins with the 6 speed tranny.
Be warned.... overall the site has a lot of trolling and the quality members are sparse as compared to this site. Since they have early scoop, and you diesel people would want it, it's a great review.
This pic should give some insight as to how the G2 did against the DMax/Allison combo!
