2003 Mod Questions

Hey guys, my dad just got a 2003 F-250 and I had a couple questions about some mods.

I have been looking for mufflers and clear corners since he has a birthday coming up soon. I don't know a whole lot about the superduty yet, so any help will be appreciated.

Clear corners- I was looking at the APC diamond cut to match the headlights, where is a good place to get them? I have seen them on E-bay for about $62 after shipping. I'm assuming they will fit the 03, eventhough they just say 99-02 or 99-current.

Muffler- I have read a little bit, and was thinking maybe flowmaster. I'm sure he won't want anything as loud as my truck (glasspack and open cutout), but something better than stock. He has an exhaust tip already that came with the sport package so I'll just get a muffler. Also, is it 3" pipe? I know truckperformance.com has the delta flow 40 for $67, anybody know of a place that has them for cheaper?

Thanks a lot for all the help.

What engine? That would make a big difference in the replies you might get on exhaust.

The flowmaster, is a little loud for my taste, the dynoflow is a little milder...It would be a good idea to stay with the original size pipe as not to mess with the flow characteristics of the engine..A low restrictive muffler will provive a better sound as well as fuel mileage, and power...If you get too big with the diameter of the pipe you could shift your power band up higher in the rpm range and then you would lose fuel mileage as well...

HOSRACN , On the exhaust side, I have a Flowmaster SI-SO system with a 70 series muffler and am very happy with it. Not to loud, not to quite. I wanted to keep the single out location so not to reduce the backpressure too much and loose low end. With the K&N filter I feel that it is much improved over stock. As for the clear corners, ebay seems to be a decent place as long as the person is reputable. I personally like the Ford signals better with a hint of amber on them.
