fiqured it out...

door plate called for 65PSI up front and 80PSI in back (whew)...fronts were 55 and rears were 70 and this how dealer delivered them to him...fiqures dealer will replace,i said not likely...told him to get rotation and pressure adjusted..then pay attention to it in the future..."Whats in your tires"...p.s. showed me pic in owners manual showing how you should inflate tire from a distance...LMAO

I have a 2WD PSD and run unloaded 60 in the fronts and 50 in the back...Any more then this and it will beat you to death...
Loaded I run them up to max...

Are they feathering on the shoulder of the tire or on the back of the lugs..

Feathering Tires

I don't know what tires you have but here is what I learned. I have a 2002 F150 FX4 SC with Goodyear Tires. I had a vibration at highway speed and the "feathering" wear pattern. I found out thru the grapevine that Ford was having some problems getting the Goodyears to balance and problems with wear. Anyway I ended up getting 4 new Michelin LTX M/S on my truck courtsey of of FORD and it drives great...Hope this helps.

The truck probably needs an alignment & maybe new shocks.

the truck is new....

and has 6000 on it with no off roading yet(at least till he lets me borrow it )...i,ll mention the ford problem to him....it's cupping on the back side of the lug...ford suggested a rotation and air adjustment with a wait and see attitude...i think he,ll go for the michalins ...thanks guys
