PSD new found power?

Does anyone know where the new PSD's got the extra 15 hp over the 2000 models?

Not sure, but I'd guerss the computer. You can get that easy by twiddling with the turbo settings. I think it's an attempt to keep sales up before *the* new Powerstroke hits the market.

My understanding of how much HP the PSD has is: Ford tells Navstar/International how much Hp/torque for the engine to be and they send them out to Ford that way. If Ford wanted a PSD with more hp/torque, Navstar would have no problem making it so. The PSD is seriously tuned down to fit in with what Ford wants it to be. This same engine is used in other Navstar/International trucks and the power ratings are way higher. So Ford sees Dodge or Chevy come out with a diesel that has more power and they, in return ask for the PSD to be upped a little on it's power. Then Ford has to make sure that this engine doesn't chew up whatever transmission they put behind it and still maintain their emmission ratings.

Hey, Yep, I've got gauges!! I've got the pyro and boost, didn't need the transmission temp because I've got a manual. I don't know about you, but I catch myself watching other Superduties when they're near me to see if any have gauges. Haven't found any in my town. Have had a lot of people ask about them though.

Well, he did finally tell what he was talking about with the cps thing. I replyed back and tried to keep it as polite as possible.

I only added the gauges and a Western Diesel air filter. Haven't touched the exhaust yet unless you count adding a chrom tip out the back!! What kind of muffler/pipes come with the Banks system??
