body style change

body style change

I just purchased a 1998 F-250. It has a body style like a F-150. Can someone tell me why Ford changed the style after olny two years of production?

Ford came out w/ the Super Duty body style for the F-250 &
F-350 for the 1999 model year. Ford made the light duty (body style of F-150) from 1997-2000, & now it is the F-150 w/ 7700lb. package.
