1999 f250 xlt (Gas) stuck in 4low
Hey guys, so I recently purchased a 99 f250 for winter In wi. Since I've discovered multiple issues, the biggest being that the truck is now stuck in 4low and will not come out. I've tried the usual, neutral hit the break and shift. Disconnected the battery 10 mins. Checked fuses. Reversed n shifted. Etc.
After looking into it much further I've noticed more issues, 4x4 light only comes on when I start the truck, cruise control doesnt work, locks dont work, and the solenoids for the vacuum relays dont click when I try to shift out of 4low. Vaccuum lines have suction at the solenoid. Also the only time I hear a clicking noise is after I start the truck and try to switch the 4x4 switch it clicks a few times but doesn't leave 4low. I'm at a loss.

It's a 99 f250 7700
I stand corrected - in 1999 they had both. However, technically yours isn't a 250 7700, it's a 250 light duty. In 2000 the 250 light duty was replaced by the 150 7700. It is going to have the same 4wd system as a 150 of that generation.

@Roadie showed me the link to this video a while back and it was actually a huge help to fixing my 4WD problem where it would stay stuck in 4WLOW.
also to take the truck out of 4WD get a flathead screwdriver go under the truck, locate the 4WD actuator on the front diff, and push the arm Outward (not inward)
