2018 F250 6.2L 4x4 , Valve / Liftter Tick Cure

Hello, I recently bought a New 2018 F250 6.2L back in April and from the beginning I have heard a Tick Tick Tick On startup not all the time but most of the Time And it sounds like unadjusted Rockers or Lifters and it only occurs for moments - 3 - 4 Seconds then goes away - It just wasn't right , So im thinking I will drive it a while do a oil change ( First Brake in ) And it should go away , It Didn't, So i called Ford, Ford said its normal 5 out of 10 do it , It may go away it may not , I asked them am i hurting the engine ? Ford is saying NO No You will be fine Just drive it it is meant to drive - I said well lets go ! Ford says its good its good , So my next oil change came around and i pulled the filter off and noticed the oil filter Cooler at the oil filter was loose , Well Heck that should not be loose - I new that i can just tighten that - I did ? put a new filter on filled it with oil and drove on , Have not heard one bit of tick tick on start up - Actually, has not sounded better on start up - Its been 1500 miles and No Tick Tick Tick on start up ! So that ends it. Tighten up your oil cooler Boys and Girls and don't listen to ford on this cause they are BS, Obviously it was loose from day one and pulling air and would not let it build pressure for a 3-4 seconds. So i hope this helps other Ford 6.2l owners, It is such a easy fix you would think ford would look it to it to ensure engines would last.

Also make sure you are using a quality oil filter that has a good anti-drainback valve. Can't go wrong with a Motorcraft filter.

glc is spot on.

For the price and quality of Motorcraft filters, it can't be beat.

I try to use them on all my vehicles -- including non-Fords. And yes lawn mower engines too.
