Spray-in Liner and bed hitch?
Spray-in Liner and bed hitch?
Has anyone had a spray-in liner installed with a bed hitch? I've got a 2001 Crew F350 shortbed. It has a Reese flip up bed hitch for a goose neck. I've been shopping spray-in liners. The Rhino Liner shop just masks the hitch plate and sprays around it. A different shop said they always remove the hitch and then spray the complete bed, then reinstall the hitch.
Anyone have any expereince with these techniques?

I don't know??? but here's a site where you'll probably get your answers, www.ford-diesel.com just post in the aftermarket upgrades section
this is just my opinion
i would not want any shop that does bed liners touching any part of my hitch as far as removing it, who is to say that they will put it back in right, or torque the bolts back down to spec??? one of my friends has a rhino liner with his flip hitch and they just went around it, and it looks good.

I'm not shure about you, but i would remove the hitch your self, if you have the tools, and reinstall it again after the spray in liner, the resale of the truck would be better without 2 4"X36" white strips (or whatever color) in the middle of the bed, A hitch is fairly easy to install, Only 8 or 4 bolts, depenting if you went on each side, or in the middle. The hole reason for a liner is the get the whole bed done, In my opinion though.
