No start - turn key no crank - jump solenoid just cranks
A little background. I have a 2001 F250 4x4 V10. I started having electrical issues several weeks ago that pointed to a fuse block that had gotten wet, common issue. One of the last issues I had, the truck would not start with the key (all dash lights came on as expected and dimmed when the key was in START) but it did start when I jumped the solenoid. Unfortunately, the starter started to engage on its own randomly regardless of key position. At this point, I pulled out the fuse block.
Fuse block was wet in fact, had water inside of it. New fuse block installed and my gremlins seem to have gone away. BUT NOW.......When I turn the key nothing happens (as described above) and when I jump the solenoid all it does is crank with no sign of firing. Help..... |
Have you checked to make sure everything is all plugged in and all the fuses look ok?
