Question Super Duty Bug Deflector

Just got our 2002 SD V-10, 4X4, CC a week ago, love it, no problems with the truck, but one irritation with the bug deflector. The dealer had a Truck Logic deflector intalled. Looks fine, but at anything over 50 mph, the middle of the deflector flexes back and forth a lot. I have never seen one do that before on any of my F-150s, or Expy (they have all been Lunds, supposedly this is made by Lund). I checked and all the screws are in, but the middle of the delector is really flexible. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?
Thanks.

Red y2k sport, the one that I have, has those rubber bumps that stick on the hood behind the deflector. To keep it from flexing back and hitting the hood.

What are you getting for mpg's? Mine came in last tuesday, but didn't pick up till friday. Glad I was out of town and couldn't pick it up until then, Because ford credit started the 0% for 3 year financing on fri. I have 200 miles on it and the computer is telling me 10.4 mpg.

We have less than 600 on it, live in a small montain town and mostly short trips, except when we brought it down from Denver. We are currently at 11.3. I saw high 12s on the trip dwon from Denver, keep in mind we were climbing a couple of 10000 foot passes, plus some other lower " hills."
So hopefully it will improve somewhat, I knew going iin it wouldn't get great milage, but don't tow hardly any at all so diesel wasn't practical. We have the 4:30s also. Work with a guy that has a 01 Extended Cab, V-10, 4X4, auto, 4:30s
For mods he has a Gibson Sweptside and K&N drop in, and on trips to my place says he has gotten in the 16s. That is what my 98 Expy got every week on the same trip!! Good luck with your truck, nice break on the financing too.

Oh, and back to original problem, it is the top of the deflector that is flexing, doesn't seem to be hitting the hood.

I've got a Stampede brand bug deflector on my truck. It too flexes but usually not noticably bad until I'm going over 70mph. I've had mine on the truck for almost 2 years and have only recently noticed the flexing so I'm beginning to think that over time the plastic must get stressed from all that wind pressure. Hopefully mine wont get worse or I'll be taking it off of the hood.
