Question 1999 F250 Difference To F150

I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THERE ARE ANY MAJOR STRUCTURAL DIFFENCES BETWEEN A 1999 F250 LIGHTDUTY 4X4 AND THE F150 4X4. I OWN A 99 F250 I CAN NOT FIND A SUSPENSION LIFT FOR IT. I HAVE HEARD THAT THE RANCHO 4" LIFT FOR THE F150 WILL FIT BUT HAVE NO PROOF. I KNOW THAT THE PAYLOAD IS HIGHER, REAR END IS SAME AS F350, 7 LUG WHEELS, BEEFIER COMPONATES, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE SHOULD BE THE SAME SET UP, RIGHT? WHO DO I CONTACT THAT KNOWS THE DIFFERENCES?:

Thumbs up They Are The Same Except...

You are right, they are the same minus the suspension componets. The front has 7700lb torsion bars. The lift just relocates them along with the front diff. For the back, Rancho tells me that the kit has blocks, so they will work and have nothing to do with the different springs between your 250 and a 150. The only thing they say wont fit are the U-Bolts for the blocks. Any other questions, feel free to email me!! Also the RCD 5" is supposed to fit.

The front torsion bars on the F-250 LD are about 4 inches longer than on the 150. I don't know what kind of difference that will make on the lift kit but they are different. The brakes are bigger also although I'm not sure which dimensions. Happy trails!

Cool Longer Yes...But

Yes they are longer, but the way they are mounted to the frame are the same, just 4" further back. if you look 4" up the frame (towards the front) there should be holes for the F150 mounting position. According to Rancho, the kit will work except for the rear U-Bolts. I have an email into Trailmaster and Explorer Pro-Comp to see if they will work. I personally like the Procomp kits, but Trailmaster is $500 less. And with a tight budget, that will pay for my wheels!
