'91 F250 no start

Hey, just acquired this truck from my uncle. He bought it new.

It's sat for the last 5-10 years.
I'm going through it to assess the engine first but can't get it to even try to start. Jumping it gets no reaction from the starter, ie. no clicking....

I'm wondering if there are certain things that cause an issue when these trucks sit, causing it to not turn over?

Stats:
1991 F250, 2wd
5.0L, 5 speed
About 250K miles

I appreciate anyone's ideas. Thanks.

Remove the spark plugs and see if it will turn over manually, using a socket and breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt. If it won't, pull the engine and rebuild it.

Are you fully depressing the clutch pedal when trying to start it? There's a safety switch.
